Standard 11 Surface Refresher Course

Welcome to the Australian Operator Training’s online Standard 11 Surface Refresher.

Instructions for Refresher

  1. This Refresher will take you approximately 6 – 8 hours to complete.
  2. All questions are multiple choice, fill in the gaps, drag and drop, Yes / No and True / False
  3. You must answer all question in each module correctly to go onto the next module. If you get a question wrong then you have to do the that modules questions again.
  4. You have only 4 attempts at a question before you are locked out of the assessment, you will need to contact our office during normal office hours to answer the question before being allowed to continue.
  5. All questions must be answered without any assistance

Fees and Refunds

  • Fees are payable using our secure payment method stripe, however if you choose not to use this option you can contact us  and speak with our admin team about direct deposit, PayPal and company purchase order (to approved clients)
  • If you choose not to start the online training once you have enrolled and paid, we may refund your training fee minus $50 admin fee if the paperwork completeness check has not started.
  • If you complete the online training and you have not uploaded the correct documents as per the instructions then no refund is able to be made

Prerequisite

Before you start please have the following ready;

  1. USI – Unique Student Identifier
  2. A clear scanned copy of your current drivers licence (both sides)
  3. A copy of your current Statement of Attainment with all six units no older than 5 years
  • Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
  • Apply Initial Response First Aid
  • Comply With Site Work Processes/Procedures
  • Conduct Local Risk Control
  • Communicate In The Workplace
  • Respond To Local Emergencies and Incidents

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We recommend that Firefox Web Browser or Google Chrome Web Browser be used for this course instead of Internet Explorer Browser. Some users have experienced issues when using Internet Explorer. If you have any issues with login or access to the course, please try one of the other browsers before contacting us.

 

 Target Audience

This course is only for those that have previously completed the Standard 11 Surface Induction Program and hold a valid Statement of Attainment issued by a Registered Training Organisation. To be eligible to attend this course you must provide evidence of the following:

  • Valid and current Mining Standard 11 Statement of Attainment with all six units
  • If your statement of attainment is over 5 years old, you will only be eligible to enrol in this program if you are currently working on a coal or metalliferous mine and you provide a letter from your employer that you have been working on that mine during the previous 6 months.

Why do we have to refresh our Standard 11?

“Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulation 2001”

 Refresher Training

(1) This senior executive must ensure that each coal mine worker at the mine, including each worker holding a senior management or supervisory position and each worker holding a certificate of competency, is given refresher training under the mine’s training scheme at least once every 5 years

(2) The worker must undergo the training
